FUNDING
Wolvey Pre-School is a charity (Registered Charity No. 1041667). The fees charged and grants received cover rent and staff wages. Equipment and other expenses are provided as a result of fundraising activities
Where fees are applicable (see Grants), they are payable in advance, either per week, per month, per half-term or per-term and because of the way the pre-school is funded we have to ask you to pay even when your child is absent. If your child has to be absent over a long period of time please contact us.
The current fee is £6 per session.Each child is entitled to a Nursery Education Grant (NEG) that covers the cost of their attendance at Wolvey Pre-school, from the term after their third birthday. The grant is paid directly to the pre-school, in two payments, each term by Warwickshire Local Education Authority (LEA).
The pre-school is required to send details to the LEA during the term before a NEG is to be claimed. Therefore, the earlier we have the information the better (although, in some instances, we may be able make a claim retrospectively and then refund any fees paid).
If your child attends another pre-school the NEG can be shared between the two providers if attendance does not exceed 5 half-day sessions. However, if the other provider is an LEA nursery class or school, then your child is not eligible for an NEG, although they may still attend Wolvey Pre-school (if fees are paid).
It is important for fees to be paid or grants to be received in order to ensure your child retains their place at the pre-school.

A number of fund raising activities such as fayres, raffles and sponsored events are held throughout the year. Please support fundraising activities where you can.
Occasionally, often in the Autumn term leading up to Christmas, we will distribute or make available catalogues from the following fundraising companies:- Webb Ivory
Featuring a broad range of goods, greeting cards, gift-wrap, innovative gifts and other goods for special occasions.
- Yellow Moon
Featuring educational products, craft ideas and gifts for children and adults.
In both instances, the pre-school earns up to 25% commission on goods ordered. When they are available, please have a look at these catalogues and pass around your family, friends and work colleagues.
